Direct download for Android

Until Jahan is in Google Play, install it from here. The file is signed, and every new version is posted on this page.

Installing from the file

1. Tap “Download APK”. If your browser asks whether to keep the file, say yes.
2. Open the downloaded file (from the notification or the Downloads folder).
3. If your phone says installing from this source is not allowed, tap “Settings” and allow that browser to “install unknown apps”. Then go back.
4. Tap “Install”. Done: Jahan is among your apps.
5. After installing you can switch the “unknown apps” permission off again.

New versions

When a new version is ready, the app tells you and brings you back to this page. Install the new file the same way; it goes over the old one and you lose nothing.

Check that the file is the right one

If you like, work out the SHA-256 of the downloaded file and compare it with the checksum above. On Windows: certutil -hashfile jahan.apk SHA256 — on Mac and Linux: shasum -a 256 jahan.apk. The two must be exactly the same.

Google Play

Coming soon. We will say so here when it opens.
